Water Watch Penang

Water Watch Penang (WWP) is a nonprofit organization set up in November 1997. Our objectives are: to promote study, awareness, knowledge, conservation, protection and the practice of a water saving society towards the sustainable development of water resources in accordance with the aspirations of Agenda 21 of the United Nations and Malaysia’s Environmental Commitment. Other objectives include: Creating awareness and water saving practices among the public, industry and government agencies; Publishing and distributing articles, pamphlets, journals, periodicals and books; Organizing and conducting field trips, educational camps seminars, forums, conferences, lectures and talks; Coordinating and carrying out research, consultancy , EIA assessment and panel and other works; Acting as Watch Dog for water pricing, monitoring and pollution, non-revenue water, destruction of catchments and other issues relating to water; and Networking with other societies dedicated to similar aims and objectives.
