I am Gustave ASSAH, Socio-Anthropologist, Consultant and Director of the Center "Diagnostique et Developpement." I have been a signatory of the Platform for a Responsible and United World since September 1996 through the international meeting of REMED (Reseau d’Echanges Multidisciplinaires pour l’Environnement et le Developpement).

I am Regional Coordinator for Benin and West Africa of the Youth Workshop of the Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World since the Manali (India) meeting in 1998. I have been a member of the DPH Network since the training for writing DPH reports at the experience sharing organized in Lome in 1998 by Francoise Feugas and Rabah Lahmar.

In October 2000, I participated as "Butterflies" of the Youth Workshop in the International Youth Parliament in Sydney in the framework of the articulation of the objectives of the Youth Workshop, the International Youth Parliament, and DPH to have cross-cutting interviews followed by workshops for writing the participants’ experience reports.

We have just circulated the Charter through several socioprofessional networks in Benin with the release in Benin of the translation of this Charter in Braille by young blind and partially blind persons of the Bartime Center in Cotonou.
