CAFOLIS

Ecuadorian sociologist and educator, I have combined my work as an academic with a profound social involvement. I have worked with Afro-American, indigenous, and peasant organizations in the following fields: reinforcement of social organizations, production and commercialization of local products, environmental protection, gender equality, and social leader training.

I have published many books and articles on social movements, agrarian transformations, strategic planning, and social leader training.

I am the current coordinator of the CAFOLIS project and I head the Management for development branch of the School for the management of sustainable local development at the Polytechnic Salesian University of Quito (UPSQ).
