Who are we?

The Charter of Human Responsibilities is an international process for debate and sensibilization on the value of responsibility. It is a network uniting individuals and organizations (environmental associations, journalists’ unions, groups for non violent action, etc.), from 16 countries, in every continent.
The team working for the Charter in Western Europe is coordinated by « Polis » and develops actions in three countries: Italy, France and Greece.

Polis participates in research and training Environmental Education projects sponsored by the European Union.
In 1997, Polis co-ordinated the Greek chapter of the project Eurosymbioses - Internet and Environmental Education in Europe, which was funded by the Commission of European Communities, through the SOCRATES programme. The Polis network seeks to build on the work of the individuals and organisms that work in the domain of environmental education, by means of the exchange of experiences. Documents of all sorts that are sent by our partners ? papers, books, research reports, project presentations, etc. ? are processed by the network’s facilitators in order to produce “experience cards” based on the methodology of the “DPH cards” (Dialogues for the Progress of Humanity).
