Hello to all participants,
In this message I will address issues related to your introductions, to
languages, consultation of the archive, pictures and other practical things.
You can send your introduction to the forum beginning today. Remember that
the forum address to send messages is the following: world-parl@forums.alliance21.org. When sending your introduction, you can
send from that moment on your contributions to topic number 1 (Oct 18-Nov

We are hoping to achieve a balanced diversity of participants. For this
reason, we would like to know some information about you, especially your
name, age, gender, country of origin, country of residence (if it differs
from your country of origin), profession, organization, and website address
if you have one. Please refer to the introduction for a more specific
explanation of the information in which we are interested. If you would like
to, you may also provide us with your political orientation.
We currently have 128 participants registered for the forum. Among these
128, we have:
16 Africans, 32 Europeans, 27 Latin Americans, 4 Asians, 18 North Americans,
1 Australian, and 3 people of Arabic origin;
70 men, 25 women, and 1 collective address;
43 English-speakers, 39 French-speakers, and 24 Spanish-speakers.
Some of you who subscribed directly from the website did not include your
language preference for the supplemental, informational documents, such as
the document concerning the forum rules. We request that you please let us
know your language preference.
Some of the MOST RECENT SUBSCRIBERS have asked for an introduction of the
team and the forum; this information can be found in the in the Forum and Discussion sections of the website. The AGENDA for Topic 1 (18
oct. - 10 nov) and the BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT, analyses prepared by facilitators, can also be found on the website.
You can consult participants' photographs. Please feel welcome to send us your photograph as well, if you are interested in doing so. :-)
We will also review any personal or professional website addresses provided
to us by our participants. If the subject matter applies to you, or the
discussion, we will provide a link to the website.
