Introduction of Haya HELAL
Haya HELAL
Friday, November 01, 2002 3:54 PM

Dear Friends,

First, let me start by introducing myself, I am Ms. Haya Helal, working as a Communication and Marketing Officer in an Environmental Organization called "Palestine Wildlife Society" in Palestine, you can visit our Website at http://www.wildlife-pal.org.

I am 22 years old, single, and graduated from Cyprus College in the year 2001 with a BA in marketing.

We saw that the participation in the World Parliament for the 21st Century could provide us, as Palestinians, a chance to make our voice loud and make our message reach the world wide. We are looking for peace and hope that one day we can live as the other nations living, in a clean and healthy country from many ways.

This can be summed as follows: First; politically, Palestine had lost its rights to have peace for several years, and had been going into wars for centuries now, people were killed, became homeless and lost their lands, where the world had done nothing to prevent such wars, and reserve human rights for those people. Hence, participation in such initiative, would raise our chances in the future to have peace with neighbor countries, especially Israel, and to give back some of the rights that had been lost and never been retrieved.

Second; Environmentally; Palestine Wildlife Society believes that the environment plays a major role in bringing people together worldwide, as well as important for the country itself, since it affects the lives of the human beings directly; hence there is a need to include the environment in the agenda of the world parliament, and be an active and important part of it, since it can change facts and help in achieving co-existence among human beings as well as between human beings and species.

Third; the participation of an Arab country can open a new horizon to unite the world together, and have more participation from the Arabs, which would help in solving and ease the conflicts between them.

Best Regards,

Haya Helal
Communication and Marketing Officer
