To take account of the others, of responsibilities, of youth, and to encourage the exchanges of ideas

Résumé: After the first fundamental topic: An introduction to the electronic
forum, why we need a world parliament and which are the values and principles on
which it can be founded. A world Parliament will only be the tool that we will
forge through our exchanges, and its use will depend of our ability to listen,
understand and accept each other, around a work about which we have though and
reflected, while taking our personal and communitarian responsibilities, for the
immediate times, and for the future of our descendants.
All of us are conscious of this.
However, we must take account of the others, those that don't have the
indispensable essentials to eat, to drink, to sleep, to take shelter, to keep
their health; those whose recognition of dignity, right, justice, liberty is not
assured; all those that cannot express themselves with us in our exchanges,
having yet others around them; those that suffer from being women, children,
poverty-stricken men in a world of wasteful practices; those staying in
different geographical places, having different histories; different needs,
different environments….
Perhaps the Earth Charter - 1972, mainly dealing with relations between humanity
and biosphere, a third possible pillar that can assure a dynamic stability of
the world - should make know more that humanity: a whole of men, it is also the
men being together. What about better understanding our fears concerning the
future of the biosphere, as caused by our bad conducts?
A World Parliament could not only be founded on values and principles, but on
responsibilities, and wills. What are values of peace, of good principles when
the particular interests are sufficiently powerful to impose their power to the
other?
The world parliament should be interested in priority in the youngest children -
I would even say too bad for those older than six, they can only continue their
life in the least worse way possible - but if we miss the smallest, we will take
back this parasitized process. There are the youngest persons than it is
necessary to take care so that they become human, responsible adults, jointly
liable, in the best mental and physical state as possible.
We know very well that at 18 years old a child will learn or understand with
difficulty than he should say hello, thank you; that he must accept himself and
the others; that he must build his own sense for his life, to participate in the
sense of life of the others. It is more difficult to show him that his life
depends, most frequently, and in large part, on himself.
I also believe that this world parliament should encourage the transformation of
the exchanges of ideas and exchanges and realizations of actions that should
nourish knowledge about the knowledge.
Thank you for your attention and good luck.
Pierre
