The freedom as non-dominance and the basic income
Joan INGLADA

ººº The values and conventional principles are guaranteed with a political system based on the freedom as non-dominance, through which those people able to interfere arbitrarily in the life of another person are prohibited in doing it.ººº

I like the idea of an universal code developed through the intervention of all the people. The problem in this is that the "real" intervention of all the people cannot take place while all the human beings don't have guaranteed the right to the existence; is to say, a Basic Income that guarantees them the freedom without dominance and that allows them to participate in politics without being subject to coercive pressures for to be able to survive.

The setting-up of a Basic Income would suppose a much bigger socioeconomic independence that the current one for a big part of the society, specially for the sectors of citizenship most susceptible to be dominated in the current societies (salaried workers, poor in a large sense, unemployed, women, etc).

Our theories could only be valid when majorities would be able to express their opinion
Just at the moment when, besides the mentioned sectors, also the voices of 75% of those now excluded could say their opinion, we will know if our theories are valid or we will find with many surprises that will make us change our forms to see the reality.

For that reason, Pettit says, *If a Republican state is committed with the progress of the cause of the freedom as no-dominance among its citizens, the least thing it could do is to adopt a policy that promotes the socioeconomic independence*.

The parliamentary system has its own self-control. In any case it will work better or worse according to the majority ideology. In my point of view the ideal system is one based on the republican freedom as non-dominance and opposed to the tyranny. That means freedom as self-government and without alienation. A political system in which is indispensable the pondered and non- arbitrary interference, equal, fair, where those people able to interfere arbitrarily in the life of another person are prohibited of making it. Just this way could allow to guarantee the agreed values and principles.
