Dear fellow World Citizens,
I wanted to introduce myself briefly. I am excited to see so many
initiatives taking place in cyberspace and in the "real world" related to
building a sustainable, equitable and peaceful world. I am honored and
pleased to participate here towards that end.
Just a brief bio:
Mr. Hunter works full-time as a Project Manager in Wells Fargo Bank, helping
to secure the bank's $300 billion of assets against unauthorized electronic
intrusion. At night and on the weekends, Mr. Hunter is President of Spirit
Rising Productions, a cutting-edge company that specializes in creative use
of the Internet, technology and media. Last year Mr. Hunter finished his
second book, The Rainbow Bridge, which illuminates the common ground in all
of the world's major religions. Mr. Hunter is also spearheading the
non-profit project, The Global Dialogues.
From 1994 to 2001, Hunter envisioned, produced and directed the first and
largest all-inclusive World Community in cyberspace, The Park (a community
of 700,000+ members supported by 160 volunteers worldwide that received more
than six million hits per day).
Prior to creating The Park, Hunter served as sales consultant for Electronic
Commerce leader GE Information Services and completed the fast track
Information Systems Management Program within GE Aerospace. Prior to working
at General Electric, he founded and operated a company that designed,
manufactured and sold a line of digital I/O (input/output) interface
products worldwide via mail order magazine sales while pursuing his
undergraduate studies. He brings over 20 years of application development
experience, digital hardware design, and experience as a psychotherapist and
personal catalyst to the development of The Global Dialogues.
Hunter graduated with a B.S. in Math and Computer Science from Clarkson
University, an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Villanova University and
the equivalent of an M.S. in Information Systems as a Graduate of the
General Electric Information Systems Management Program. Hunter is a
National Certified Counselor, an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the U.S. Army
Airborne School and is involved with a number of global civic organizations:
Amnesty International - Association of World Citizens - Campaign for
Positive Media - Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility -
Electronic Frontier Foundation - Global Exchange - Global People's Assembly
Network - International Radio & Television Society - Internet Society -
People for Better TV - The 21st Century Agenda for Business - The Global
Renaissance Alliance - The Institute of Noetic Sciences - The Parliament for
the World's Religions - The Presidio Dialogues - The World Affairs
Council - The World Citizen Foundation - The World Future Society - United
Religions Initiative - United Nations Association of the United States of
America (Vice President of Communications, Northern California Division)
I look forward to working with you all to help usher in a new world based on
wisdom, harmony, collaboration and cooperation, with abundance and
prosperity for all. We certainly have our work cut out for us, but I know we
can do it, for * it is our destiny to live in peace and harmony *.
As the Hopi Elders say, we are the people the world has been waiting for and
now is the time to act as one.
Namaste,
Brent
