People's power against politic power's complex
Wolfang FISCHER
Saturday, December 21, 2002 8:34 PM

ººº Abstract: Repressive power can be opposed peacefully only by * real masses of determined people of the same spirit * - a reaction to George Monbiot's question ººº

In reaction to the question brought up by George Monbiot, whose courageous and enlightening articles I do admire, I want to highlight the urgent need for facilitation of world wide mass movements in favour of a peaceful and just world order. Mass Movements are the necessary counterpart to the capitalist violent power complex.

Masses might need to risk themselves in order to have a chance to change the world
In order to have a chance to change the world in a way we would like to have it, all those who really do want a change for the better, need to show up. Against a real mass movement all over the planet the violent capitalist alliance will be powerless! Masses might need to risk themselves, however they cannot be stopped, as long as *they really show up in overwhelming numbers all inspired by the same uniting spirit*. This was proved recently by the peaceful masses who forced the breakdown of the late German Democratic Republic's government.

However it does need real masses! And it needs the adoption of a spirit, of mental concepts which are able to focus our thinking and acting on the essentials!

Only masses will impress politicians. How those masses can be brought into the streets?
Only masses will impress politicians. Only masses will show those in power their dependency on people who are no longer prepared to pay the bills for further destruction and killing. Only masses will prove that people are fed up with their endangered life. A life which is socially endangered as well as endangered by poisonous food, polluted breathing air and radioactive or electromagnetic radiation.

The question arises, how those masses can be brought into the streets. How to reach the people, how to make bourgeois citizens feel concerned? How to arise their will to oppose the interests of corporate industry market, money domination and military power? How to focus all the different existing groups and movements in order to make their concern effective?

First of all a lot of enlightening information is needed. And the readiness as well as openness to accept alternative information instead of mass media lies.

The inspiring mental concepts, the concentrate of values and principles which we discussed last session in this brainstorming forum, are the key to all the questions and tasks we are confronted with. This concepts are the foundation also to this months topic: architecture of global governance.

As Garda Ghista put it on her important contribution from Sat,14.Dec.2002: we need 'sadvipras' - people with devotion to the entity of interconnectedness of all being. Something which starts within each of ourselves and which leads finally to a different kind of culture.

'Sadvipras' could motivate for a more and more actively dissident people, Simpol and other alternatives for stopping social, economical and ecological pressure
'Sadvipras' are the yeast in the process of motivation towards an inspiring of more and more actively dissident people. Even high ranks of military personnel, chief executive officers and political leaders are humans, whose souls one day might be reached. It is also their life and the life of their beloved ones, which is endangered.

This leads us to the second important factor for creating oppositional masses. Unfortunately it is the increasing pain and mischief due to growing social, economical and ecological pressures caused by the system which we need to change.

SimPol certainly is a hope spreading tool for changing politics. Many more alternatives are being tried at different locations. However, without showing up in masses - be it in the streets or be it on one of all the other platforms which dissident people try to use - there hardly will be chances to prove a determined longing for decisively different world politics.

With warm greetings to everybody,
Wolfgang
