(we are at a general stage of reason, this historic raw material is necessary to be used as counter-power)
How we use words may have profound effects. For me, * counter-power * is a concept to beware of. Gandhi demonstrated that the most effective, efficient and often fast way to overcome unjust power was * political jiu jitsu * -- using the excessive momentum of the opponent to overcome him.
The only absolute power that I think humanity can ethically use is the organized or co-ordinated demand and non-violent action of sovereign individuals and autonomous communities to assert their sovereign rights as superior to less democratically chosen authorities. The next paragraph quoted below illustrates this: non-violence should be used not so much to * crush * as to * tame * or * regulate * the violence of unethical, elitist, undemocratic capitalistic systems and concepts.
(Decentralization)
Practical examples of the stability, efficiency and harmony achievable by including all stakeholders (clients, suppliers, watchdog bodies, employees at all levels etc.) in organizations, public and private, are quoted by Dr Shann Turnbull (e.g. in 'A New Way to Govern - Organisations and society after Enron' <http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=319867> ) and the Sociocracy movement <Sociocracy@aol.com>. Both sources stress that larger communities may be administered similarly by * nesting * of the stakeholder networks.
This can come about within as well as beside existing outdated management and representation structures.
