Dear Marie-Christine, Many thanks for your thoughtful response.
Well, I have to admit to being a bit * naughty * because my posting was intended to get us to think more deeply about the world predicament as a prelude to inviting those interested to investigate a possible solution. It is a solution which I believe would serve as a first step towards achieving a WP.
This potential solution can be found at <http://www.simpol.org/>.
(Unfortunately the non-English versions of the site are not as fully documented as the English so if you understand English, I would recommend you visit that version.) Essentially it offers an answer to the question which is the subject of this message. It is a tool or, one might say, a * technology * which citizens world-wide can use to force their politicians and governments to co-operate in solving our planetary crisis. And once we h ave achieved that first very difficult step of global co-operation, the second step is relatively easy: a WP. Noam Chomsky said of Simultaneous Policy (SP): * It's ambitious and provocative. Can it work? Certainly worth a serious try *.
If it were generally agreed that Simultaneous Policy (SP) * does * offer such a * technology * I would like to suggest that its adoption by all those working for global governance will serve to greatly enhance their own initiatives.
For if we have a practical * method * for implementing a WP, the debates on this forum start to be infused with the knowledge that their results * can and will become reality *. So I hope members of this list might give it * a serious try * .
with best wishes John Bunzl
