Re: (2/2) Parlement pyramidal ou démocratie directe ?

Hello All,

I give a special thanks to Marie Martin-Pécheux. Very well said. I believe what she has said are basic truths about democratic systems.

It would seem logical if the democratic system worked properly the WP should be structured in the same way. On the other hand it would not be necessary to have a WP if that were true.

Are there any government systems that work. Again I believe there are not. If there were, this discussion would not be necessary, we would all know exactly what had to be done.

Marie very elegantly redefines the true issue when she states Nothing stops the local level on the other hand from articulating around concrete projects and introduce some proposals. Yes, that is exactly the point, Are we in search of a recognized governance structure for the WP, That we already know doesn't work. Or should we be in search of methods to solve issues.

Should we look for the answer in terms of governance at all? Truly no one in the forum wants to govern and that is not the goal.

Our goal I believe is to solve problems and make our earth a better place to live for all.

There are no forms of democratic government structure with all their laws and constitutions, that will feed the starving people of the world, for that matter even stop a war. The UN like the rest of the world just takes sides. My understanding of war or conflict is a basic prerequisite of having to opposing view points. Doesn't matter if it is about war, feeding starving people or giving needed health care, taking sides does not solve anything. But creating win win solutions does.

And if the WP is to be truly about seeing that our governments do what's right, then the WP structure should be built around finding workable solutions that both sides win. That could be as simple as acquiring a seat at the UN, without any voting power, but as a solution based voice of the people. And secondly as I have said before establishing organizations to create local law within each nation that will create an automatic impeachment process to start for any elected official that votes or acts against the will of their people based on organized poll. That would amount to having a simple vote on if that person should remain in office or be impeachment. Trust me, once it is made automatic, it would never be used.

We need only look for examples that work in our own communities to realize. That non profit organizations and NGO's gets results, we need to carry that determination and will to solve to the floor of the UN. The UN like the courts don't solve issues they rule on them. Right now the UN is deciding to go to war or not go to war. The WP as a voice of the people could suggest a workable solution, in that the only real issue is, does Iraq have weapons of mass destruction or not, secondly he cannot be trusted. The UN with its world authority would guarantee his protection to an exile of his choice pending the outcome of a temporary occupation of Iraq to determine the truth. With the strangle hold on Iraq's people removed and the people protected, the truth will come out one way or the other.

If nothing is found The UN will reestablish him back in power just the way things were, with force if necessary. To refuse would be to have the UN join the United States to forcibly remove him.

There are many such solutions that could be presented on the UN floor, with a true voice of the people through the world Parliament, they would be listened to and I believe acted on.

My whole point is that the structure of the WP should be to compliment and make work the governments that currently exist, in a manner that the people want.

Why would we want to reinvent the democratic wheel, we do not like the way it turns.

One more thing I appreciate and applaud Marie Martin-Pécheux contributions on this issue, My only regret is her mind can't be harvested and spread throughout the world.

Sincerely to all,

Frank Houck
