Bangkok Meetings Important

John Ewbank writes to encourage us to attend the Bangkok meetings to be held from March 25 through March 28, 2003. Termed a * Sixth Provisional World Parliament * under the Constitution for the Federation of Earth, it will provide a growing basis for the emerging Earth Federation.
Although many of us in California, on such short notice, will not be able to attend these meetings, please be aware that a number of us are have a keen interest in its success.
In the San Francisco Bay Area we have formed a Study Group on the Earth Constitution (also known as the Constitution for the Federation of Earth) and meet regularly at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley. Our numbers are growing.
Although San Francisco is a center of peace movement activity, more and more activists are realizing that something more needs to be done beyond the usual protests, sit-in's, etc.
The message of One World or None couldn't be more relevant. And more are realizing that we already have a (shadow) world government but * we, the people * don't have much real say in it. The Multinational Corporations do, as do the Investment Bankers and the like, but not * we, the people.*
What to do? Join the Earth Federation under the Earth Constitution. Democratic world federation with a World Parliament.
The advantage of the Earth Constitution (aside from the fact that it is written brilliantly in my opinion) is that we will know ahead of time what we are getting -- and the structure for individual human rights, environmental protection and sustainability, and the abolishment of wars as a means to solve conflicts -- all are embedded in it.
