Democracy and representation

Dear friends:
I agree, that the actual practice of democracy is absolutely unsatisfactory.
But I'm still very optimistic to find a truly democratic government and that we can develop real democracy.
In my opinion that will be possible only:
1. * Without the principle of majority * in the decision-making process to prevent the tyranny of the majority. My optimism is fully based on * the principle of consensus * and on the right of veto for all deputies.
2. * Without the elections * of representatives. We should install * well-trained professional politicians * like we do it with our judges.
Who ever will become professional political representative, will have to declare that he or she is absolutely consensus-willing and common welfare has priority to all particular interests. Than they start their political studies at the * Independent Political Academy (IPA) * as I pointed out in <http://www.quadem.org/>
In this new consensus democracy we will have to resolve the following problems:
We must avoid obstruction by some not consensus-willing member of the assembly. Let us have a look at a certain number of deputies discussing a problem. That will always take place between those who already agree and those who do not yet agree. At the end we have always a dialog between 2 positions about a certain problem even in the biggest assembly.
As all of them have the same right of veto, the last one can block the whole decision. When there is one against all the others, we have to judge, if he could be the wisest member of all or if he is a devil only obstructing the decision. If all the members of an assembly will change into political devils, they cannot do anything, if there is still one democratic angel.
This distinction must be trained at the Independent Political Academy (IPA) and during the period of practice as candidate. Only if we can convince the last deputy or he can convince all the others we get the wisest possible decision. Only optimal political decisions can be accepted in future. Let this be enough for the moment.
Best regards.
Frederic. <http://www.quadem.org/>
