Hello Germà and Horacio,

I was beginning to think I was alone, in the understanding that the current approach of the WP may not hold the promise of an organization that can actually achieve results.

Substantially I agree with Horacio. To date I see no evidence that we are talking about anything that will impact our current political and governmental control that we wish to see take place.

I personally suspect a WP UN look a like will have no more significance then what we currently have. Even if the current goals of the WP are realized. All we will have is a UN with a different name that is guided by the will of all the people of the world that will be able to achieve nothing.

What would the WP do in regard to Iraq that would be any different? What unique power will it have to stop starvation, poverty etc.?

I speak now for myself. But I believe many of us are involved in this forum to achieve results, measurable and significant. The only real power that can exist within a WP that would be unique would be the total agreement of its proposals of the entire world population.

We have just experienced that power for the call for peace. Why didn't this universal call for peace happen? I think it is very simple.

There was no third party voice at the UN that represented the people of the world. There was no presentation of a resolution that would satisfy all sides. All we heard on the media was do nothing or total war. If there was a third option presented that didn't conclude war yet disarmed Iraq with escalating force necessary to achieve the results without all out war it would have been accepted by all sides.

We will never know the impact of such a third party solution, yet I tend to feel it would instantly remove the acceptance of war from the 50% that would accept it. Because resolve of disarmament was the only issue. The American public would have never accepted a call to war with a workable solution that guaranteed results without war.

I would conclude in saying that. We don't need to recreate what already exists. We need to set resolve in motion by adding a credible Third world opinion to what ever exists, where ever it exists.

We should not set ourselves up to be a structure of control but a structure of reason. We need to establish methods of control over the elected officials that do not fulfill the will of their people. We need to be the conscience of the world within what already exists.

This is extremely do able, What is necessary to do this already exists. We need the will of the world people to make it happen.

Regards, Frank Houck
