(* How could we build from existing processes, such as the GeoCultural, Collegial, and Working Groups of the Alliance, to organize such a working model for the World Parliament? How could we integrate the activities that are already taking place all around the world, with the development of the WP itself? ... *)
Doug Everingham's comments:
A number of organizations have already obtained wide support from voluntary, and in some cases official institutions. Possible starting points besides those listed by Rob above include
International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, an international coalition of municipal organizations working on sustainable development, and the Earth Charter International Secretariat, website: <http://www.earthcharter.org/>, tel. (506) 205 1600 fax: (506) 249 4187.

These are still so far mainly theoretical for levels of complexity greater than companies active in a single nation. Compared to governments they are financially weak. But there are groups that put into practice democratic structures from neighborhood credit co-operatives to the 53 000 people in the Spanish Mondragón Co-operative Corporation and others. Sociocracy has been discussed in this forum and has been applied to several enterprises in Holland. More examples are given by Dr Shann Turnbull and Buckminster Fuller.
