Hello everybody,
My name is Richard Kirby an artist from Zambia, Central Africa. I have been
reading all of the correspondence from the beginning and like the energy
and understanding that something needs to be done, and empathize with all
on the task ahead .There have been many pointers as to how we should go
about formulating a structure for the WP. I think that it is important that
we understand the source of our problem before we try to move forward in
the right direction. As an artist I have spent my life observing man
,animals and nature, from what I have seen there is a great sadness in all
of them due to the fact that we no longer walk together where there is
respect and truth in our words. We work against nature, desecrating our
wildlife and can't get along with our own kind. If we are to start in a new
direction then let us first let the aboriginal people, the wise men come
forward and give us guidance and wisdom, instead of control and
dictatorship, as these are the people closed to nature of our mother earth,
then let us put our ego's and attachment aside, and work together, with
truth and respect in our words and let that be the basic principle of this
WP and we will walk forward into a new future, together, without fear.
As a suggestion as to how we can get the people to come together, we can use
the arts which throughout history has been use to communicate. I am
presently putting a committee together, that deals with all sectors of the
community, for the purpose of organizing an arts and cultural festival in
Livingstone.
The WP has virtually got to exist in the abstract form, within the people,
through a common understanding of the fundamental principles, there is a
balance that needs to be paid attention to, nature. This planet is our home
and yet we have already put a hole in our roof, we have no regard for our
children and our children children. It's selfish, and this attitude must
change. There is so much wasted funding on what, destruction! Space research
for what? so we can find another planet and pollute that one as well. Why
don't we clean up our own back yard ,as it is said, * take the spike out of
your own eye before you attempt to take some speck out of somebody else's *.
So establishing a WP within ourselves we can ensure that we do not elect
the wrong people, to do what is needed to be done to save this planet .
So why don't we in spring organize an arts and cultural festival all around
the world, this will bring all the people together and also be an annual
event to celebrate the liberation of the human race. And the truth and
respect in our words, as it encompasses everything.
I am also trying to establish an Art Centre for educational purposes, it
could also be an information kiosk where people could come and link to the
WP .A place where our social organization committees could become a part of
the WP ,so we could work together for a common goal. Because what WP 21 is
trying to do on a global scale is fundamentally what I am trying to do at
home here in Livingstone Zambia.
I am a carrier of proposals, an artist who is grateful and wants to give.
