* We do not need elected officials but well-trained professional deputies
(...) finding consensus (...) http://www.quadem.org (.) *
Doug Everingham's response:
Such experts exist in public/ civil services and administrations.
They are often challenged and replaced by agents of private power elites who
use military, administrative, financial, fundamentalist, industrial and
academic * maffiac * structures, including mass media, to discredit
ecological or social regulations that inhibit their drive for economic
growth and private profit. The maffiacs do not hesitate to slant / bias,
subvert or falsify facts and expert opinions or to choose experts who favor
their private agenda. Citizens need to be vigilant at local, national,
international etc. levels to find experts and specialized organizations that
they trust at least as much as elected or appointed officials.
At national or international level, if US Americans trust Ralph Nader on
industry, Mandela on military matters, Robert Muller on international
arbitration or David Attenborough on conservation, or particular voluntary
organizations, more than Bush, Blair, Bill Gates or Rupert Murdoch, they
should be combining forces to say so in specialized organizations and
discussions like this one, or the sociocracy movement, or the International
Simultaneous Policy Organization at relevant levels.
