A call to all retired people of the world
Pierre CARO
Tuesday, 29 April 2003

ººº Abstract: I had announced the work that I lead since several years on: a training to pensioner's life. A call to all retired people of the world can be launch for to share with them the milieu of people that suffers through the world which is often unknown. It will be necessary to sensitize the young and future pensioners also to understand that they won't be able to take advantage anymore of their privileges while protecting themselves from the misery that is increasing everywhere. The retired people have one of the only universal goods: * the time *. Each one of them should think how to capitalize it in a retirement that will only be happy for them with the most possible of happy people around them. ººº

Bravo and thank you for work achieved during these last months; I've learned a lot, and much shared with the people that I try to accompany in my neighborhood. As I wrote it to you the other day, we are not close to the world parliament but at least one idea is advancing, about the indispensable needing to exchange our ideas among all of us, to understand our respective wishes for to give a sense to our lives.

I had announced the work that I lead since several years on: a training to pensioner's life. Tomorrow a nearly majority of the French, of the Europeans is going to be in retirement for 20, 30 years and more, while others don't have a job, are dying of hunger, thirst, lack of basic health; while some still are undergoing torture, don't have the right to education, justice, dignity..., I could go on, everyone know this.

So, I was thinking that perhaps a call to all the retired people of the world can be launch, in order to help you, with all your team:

1 - First for distributing in all languages the exchanges that you are receiving. Some of the participants should think that their professional and personal environment, is not that of a majority of women, men and children that suffers through the world. That one hour or two per week to participate in helping in order that the resourceless could benefit for a part of all these very interesting and necessary discussions in order that the biggest number can forge their autonomy. I didn't learn any other language that French but already I undertake, with a lot of others, a work of translation from French to the language, dialect, backslang,... of the most underprivileged - who are not absolutely underprivileged because a majority of them is not without a potential intelligence - Such language is learned on the asphalt of the surroundings of big commercial centers or at the bottom of the suburb's blocks. I cannot do more than this, my apologies.

The retired people can share their good, the time, in solidarity

2 - perhaps you can sensitize more the young or future retired people, for to understand that they won't be able anymore, humanly, to take advantage of their privileges while protecting themselves from the misery that is increasing everywhere. The people who begin their retirement must build a project of life for a better world, united and fair. It is necessary that such program was built for a world project to unite all actions led through the planet. The pensioners have one of the only goods in the world that is an universal one: * the Time *. Each of them should think about to capitalize it in a retirement that will only be happy with the most possible of happy people around them.

The future retired people without a project of life will be the highest consumers of drugs

I don't know if I've expressed myself well, but I wanted to use these lines for to say how many energies are lost by lack of a common planned project. I can realize also, as others can do it, that those that begin their retirement without an attractive project of life, are the biggest consumers of medicines in the ten years that follow such new situation. And also, our small children have a very big need of discussion with us.

Best regards to all of you. I stay with you with my modest contribution, done on the ground of Nantes. Thank you.
