Scenario of Truth
Hon. Olumola SHOLA KOLAWOLE
Sunday, 4 May 2003 03:56:32 +0200

In the 60's, there were two super-powers. Today, there is just one and that one is twice powerful than the previous two. At no time in human history has there been a greater need for drawing together the races, tribes, ethnic groups, culture and the nations; so that their energies and many sided genius can be combined in peace instead of being wasted in war: Increase of knowledge and our ability to deliver that knowledge to others will lead to improvement of understanding among citizens. Also, in order to serve society, an organisation/World Parliament must itself provide some tangible good to each individual or at least to a large majority of them.

A problem is half-solved when defined (i.e. identified problem, defined problem, develop strategy to solving problems and identify suitable strategy). For instance: The United States and a new NATO country have reintroduced the Cuban issue at the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva. This issue has been raised before at the United Nations. The Vice President of Cuba - Dr. Carlos Lage, presented a powerful speech there in 1999, that is still powerful and relevant today; criticizing U.S. policy towards Cuba and its own human rights record at home. This is an important issue, because it clearly addresses how the U.S. government blatantly and repeatedly attempts to dominate political discussions and intergovernmental decision making processes and meetings at the global level. Read speech.

We will continue to expose the hypocritical stance of United States and its allies; for a world of peace and security (visit: http://grassrootswomen.tripod.com). The World today, urgently requires men and women able to see the world as a whole and committed to the welfare of the entire family of * Man *. Furthermore, if hopes for a better future are to be realised, a number of obstacles remain to be overcome: Forces of destructive competition? How do we make the United Nations and/or WP more responsible and accountable to popular opinion and pacifism? How do we make the United Nations stand out from organisations such as NATO and the United States Congress?

With every new citizen who adopts * Simultaneous Policy *, we are a step closer to reaching our common objectives of a just, peaceful, democratic and cooperative world order. Read more; go to: http://www.simpol.org

Thank you.
