I agree that an open self-selected world parliament now on the internet would have to deal with representation problems, but I do not agree that such an initiative would not have any legitimacy. The more people participate, the more legitimacy it has; and; the more it addresses the questions related to representation, the more legitimacy it has. So, here are a few proposals to address the representation problem:

- digital divide issues can be addresses by giving more power to people with less access to information technology (if there are offline accountability mechanisms)
- online and offline delegation is one example for this
- if there is the possibility that anyone can influence any aspect of the system at any time one can gradually improve the mechanisms to address these problems

In sum: A WP now has to deal with the representation problem, but it is possible to solve the problem and a WP dealing with its problems is better than no WP at all.
