Note: I had already written this message and used the word "masses", when I read Fernando Iglesias' letter to Germa. I just want to say that I do not think that 'masses' is a derogatory word and that I consider myself part of the masses.
Dear Friends, dear Troy,
"One World Party", is the name I would like to propose for this marvelous initiative. It can really unite the globe, especially from the point of view that it should be neither leftist nor rightist. It will be Unitarian, born from the vision that we are in fact all ONE within the body of humanity. "One World Party" would imply not only a relation to Democracy or World Citizenship, but would include the responsibility of humanity for the animal, plant and mineral kingdoms of the Earth.
"One World Party" would not just appeal to the intellect, but also to intuition and emotion. It is a name that somehow cannot be "trumped" by any other words, can it? It is simple and true to the vision we share and clear enough to speak to the imagination of the masses. For it is the masses that will carry the weight of a democratic push for something NEW, so they need to understand our message readily, if this initiative is to gain momentum and lead to quick results.
Yes, let us unite in our Democratic Rights and use those rights intelligently and so create hope and opportunity for paradise lost to be regained!
