Hello All

When the term democracy is used, it can easily be associated with American Politics. A more non-partisan term should be used. Democratic Governments already exist, at least in theory, but the cultural integration is not there. We are trying surely to find an alternative and better system than exists now, I agree with you Fernando, the principles of democracy must indeed be central, with consent, benevolence and solutions based objectives, but don't like the idea of including it in the name.

We have to uphold and agree to the principles and values of democracy, yes, which has so far never been truly done! But what we need is a name with a brand new image and different perspective which will encourage acceptance by individuals (global citizens) as well as the group (global village). A name that crosses international borders, race, language and religions.

The word citizen should be(come) more powerful than the word politician, it is after all the politician who is doing a task for the citizen. What we have to do is build a political system that is representative and task based because its wired electronically from the citizens in constituencies all the way to the representatives (don't like the word professional politician and prefer citizens representative) and the representative performs his/her task and is responsible to his/her citizens. Only the voice (power) of the people will give strength to this initiative, therefore we should appeal to all without bias or boundaries.

Long live the Trans-global Citizens Initiative

Be well Bryan Kirby
